WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL
The Women Empowerment Cell was established in 2018 to empower and uphold women's dignity at work. The Cell aimed to provide a path to economic progress, healthy, quality of life and also to provide a safe atmosphere for women on college campus. The cell focuses on empowering girl students, faculties and staff, to improve their understanding of women's concerns, and to solve practical issues related to the benefit and equal opportunities. With the goal of academic and social upliftment, the cell promotes women's empowerment through the various awareness programmes and other welfare activities.

Activities (Jan 2019 – Jan 2022)
- Organized a Women’s Day Celebration on 7th March 2020. The Chief Guest Dr. Punitha Ekambaram, HoD (Retd), Department of Tamil, Govt. Arts College, Coimbatore. She delivered a motivational Speech for our students.
- Organized an Orientation Program for Girls on 04.02.2021. The program has guided their personal hygiene.
- On the account of Women’s Day, the various events will be conducted for the Girl Students on 20.2.21. These events helped to promote their innovative thinking of our students.
- Women Empowerment Cell organized a Women’s Day Celebration on 8 th March 2021. The chief Guest Mr Nanjil Nadan, Sahitya Akademi Award winner delivered his speech about Women self development.
- Organized as virtual awareness program on “Prevention of Cancer” by Dr. Anbu Sellmuthu M.Sc., Ph.D., MRSC, Postdoctoral research Assistant, University of Hull, UK. He has explained the causes and prevention of cancer. He also clarified participants' doubts.
- Women Empowerment Cell and Department of Commerce jointly organized a webinar titled “Personal Care for Women “on 4.6.21. The Resource person was Ms. Nandhini Natraj, Professional Makeup Artist, and Coimbatore. She has given guidance about how to beautify ourselves.
- Women Empowerment Cell and Department of Commerce jointly organized a webinar titled on “POCSO ACT-2012 on 24.1.22. The Resource person was Mr. D. Sadham Hussain, Advocate, M& D Property Development Pvt Ltd. He discussed about various act and how to file and what type of punishment is abused in court. The resource person also clarifies the doubts that are raised by the students.
- Women Empowerment Cell in Association with Department of Tamil jointly organized a webinar on 24.1.22. On the account of National Girl Child Day, The resource person was Dr. Kalavathi, HoD, Department of Tamil, Rajapalayam Raju’s College. She delivered how the girl child protects herself.
